“We chose The Charlton Group after a multi-firm review.  We chose them for their combination of technical expertise and their understanding of my business problems, most of which are not technical in nature.  They are excellent at listening, probing, asking the right questions and learning about my business needs”.

We bring strategic planning, standards, and focus to the daily operation of your technology infrastructure. Small businesses can have difficulty attracting and retaining knowledgeable IT staff because, the work may not keep them challenged. The IT staff that can be retained may not have the experience to provide all the information for the management team to make sound technology decisions.

    • Strategic planning is created with management’s vision and an integrated technology timeline for IT items and projects.  The planning process includes such items as annual service renewals, equipment purchases or replacements, business continuity planning, and budgeting.

    • Standards are key for an organization to minimize help desk calls and provide security against invasive threats to electronically stored data.

    • Focus is needed to bring together all aspects of technology within an organization to fully leverage, secure, and maintain a solid base infrastructure. Included in this focus are the servers, desktops, laptops, printers, copiers, faxing, software, licensing, inventory, web site, and phones.

In any scenario where business functions are interrupted, the survivability of the enterprise depends on management’s ability to restore the critical business functions.

Very often the losses related to business interruptions are underestimated, as are the benefits of having a business continuity plan that minimizes the impact to a company in an emergency.
